(500) Days of Summer is my favorite movie, it's pretty clear to anyone who knows me, has seen my personal tumblr, or has seen my room. Upon the 9th or 10th viewing of the movie, I started to collect links and pictures of various furniture and home decor because I had finally realized my goal in life: to decorate/furnish my future apartment as inspired by Summer Finn's whimsically vintage crib.

Okay, so it it's not my GOAL in life but it's definitely up there along with getting a puppy and falling in love and going to harry potter land.

And while I wait for the day that I can finally undertake this goal, why not share my findings with the world? And why limit this to items inspired by Summer's apartment? I'm talking about music, clothes, etc that replicate the style of the movie. So, welcome to a blog dedicated to anything and everything related to/inspired by the amazing film that is (500) Days of Summer.

Summer’s Apartment: The Son of Man

Magritte is one of Summer’s favorite artists, the little set up on her coffee table is a tribute to Magritte’s famous painting, “The Son of Man”.  All you need to mimic this look is a bowler hat, a fake green apple (or a real one, if you so wish), and something red like the red star box she has to reflect the small bit of red in the man’s tie. And there you have it! A piece of Magritte and Summer Finn right on your coffee table.

Summer’s Apartment: The wallpaper

When I suddenly decided I wanted my future apartment to look like Summer’s, I went straight to google, searching things like “zooey deschanel’s room” and “how to decorate like summer finn’s apartment”.  I was desperate and bored. Then i came upon this site, which features the wallpaper above.  It’s pretty much the closest thing I’ve found to her actual wallpaper and so I excitedly added the link to my newly opened word document. And thus, the list began.
You can get this wallpaper for yourself at Home Depot.
